What happened in Donbas on 19 September 2022?

Summary
A look back at a day of Ukrainian gains in Luhansk Oblast and rival accounts of deadly attacks in occupied areas.
What did the front in eastern Ukraine look like on 19 September 2022? The reports from that day describe a battlefield in which Ukrainian forces were regaining ground in Luhansk Oblast, while civilian casualties were reported on both sides of the line.
Ground regained near Lysychansk
On 19 September 2022, the Ukrainian Ground Forces recaptured the village of Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast. The advance was described as moving towards Lysychansk.
Deadly blasts in Donetsk
The same day, explosions in the city of Donetsk, which was held by the Donetsk People's Republic, killed thirteen people and injured many others. The Donetsk People's Republic leader, Denis Pushilin, accused Ukraine of being behind the attacks.
In the Luhansk People's Republic, authorities said a Ukrainian shelling attack had killed seven civilians, including three children, in the town of Krasnorichenske. These were claims by the authorities of the self-proclaimed republic.
The preceding day
The previous day, 18 September 2022, Russian forces shelled a psychiatric hospital in Strelechya, in Kharkiv Oblast. Four medics were killed and two patients injured.
On 18 September 2022, Ukraine also withdrew its 250 troops from the United Nations peacekeeping force MONUSCO in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. A Ukrainian Air Force aviation unit pulled out its eight helicopters as well. They made up a third of the UN's fleet in the mission.
Taken together, the reports from those two days show a war pressing on several fronts: a Ukrainian push in Luhansk Oblast, reports of civilian deaths in Donetsk, Krasnorichenske and Strelechya, and a reduction in Ukraine's contribution to a peacekeeping mission thousands of kilometres away.
