What did Washington and Warsaw allege on 2 November?

Summary
A look back at two claims about Russia that surfaced days before 4 November 2022, one on artillery shells and one on a border barrier.
What were Russia's neighbours and rivals saying about Moscow in the days leading up to 4 November 2022? Two reports from 2 November offer a snapshot.
The first came from the United States, which said North Korea was "secretly supplying" artillery shells to Russia for use in the war in Ukraine. The claim linked the war to North Korea–Russia relations, adding a further supplier to the picture of how Russia was sustaining its campaign.
The second came from Poland. Its Minister of National Defence, Mariusz Błaszczak, announced the construction of a barrier along the border with the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad. Poland believed that Russia would use that border to transport African and Asian immigrants illegally into Europe.
The two reports concerned different frontiers and different worries: one about munitions reaching the battlefield, the other about migration across a border. Both, however, showed governments publicly voicing suspicion of Russian conduct as the war in Ukraine continued.
