What did Prigozhin's arrival in Belarus signal?

Summary
Lukashenko's confirmation on 27 June 2023 closed one loop of the Wagner rebellion while Ukraine's counteroffensive and foreign aid continued.
What happened to the Wagner leader once the rebellion ended? On 27 June 2023, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko confirmed that Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of the Wagner Group, had arrived in Belarus in accordance with the agreement reached with the Russian government.
The deal behind the arrival
The confirmation tied up a short internal conflict in Russia. As described later, large-scale action began on the evening of 23 June 2023, pitting the Defence Ministry, including the regular army, against Wagner under Prigozhin. It ended on the evening of 24 June after Lukashenko held talks with Prigozhin. The terms were that the criminal case against Prigozhin for armed rebellion would be closed, Wagner would move to field camps, and Prigozhin himself would go to Belarus. His arrival, confirmed by Lukashenko, showed that the last of those terms had been carried out.
The front line carried on
Elsewhere, the war did not pause. On 26 June 2023, Ukrainian forces recaptured the uninhabited village of Rivnopil in Donetsk Oblast, according to Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Maliar. She described it as the ninth village retaken in the past month. The pace she cited points to incremental gains rather than a single breakthrough.
Foreign support also continued. On the same day, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced a AU$110 million military aid package for Ukraine.
What the day showed
The three reports covered different arenas: a negotiated outcome to a revolt inside Russia, small territorial gains in Donetsk Oblast, and new aid from a distant partner. Taken together, they show that the settlement of the Wagner crisis, with Belarus as its venue and Lukashenko as its guarantor, was being carried out while Ukraine's forces kept advancing village by village and partners kept pledging equipment.
