Four Ukrainian troops killed in Donetsk rocket attack

Summary
A separatist strike on a military position caused the heaviest single-attack losses for Ukrainian forces in the Donbas war since 2019.
What did the rocket attack in Donetsk Oblast mean for the front line in Donbas? By 27 March 2021, one day after the strike, the toll was clear: four Ukrainian troops had been killed and two others wounded when separatists hit a military position with rockets on 26 March 2021.
It was the worst loss of life in a single attack for Ukrainian forces since 2019, as reported at the time.
A separate flashpoint in Syria
Elsewhere in the region, Turkey's Ministry of National Defense reported on 21 March 2021 that Russian jets had struck gas facilities in the town of Sarmada, in Idlib Governorate near the Turkish border. It said a surface-to-surface missile had also hit Qah. Turkey said it had sent Russia a statement asking for the attacks to stop immediately.
