What did Ukraine's 30 June 2026 drone raid hit?

Summary

A look back at a large Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow Oblast and the casualties Russian authorities reported.

What did Ukraine's large drone attack on Moscow Oblast achieve on 30 June 2026? Ukrainian forces struck the Dubna Space Communications Center, north of Moscow, in what was described as a major drone attack.

Russian authorities said a Ukrainian drone hit a residential building in Yegoryevsk, killing an infant. Another drone strike reportedly killed a 61-year-old woman in Tver Oblast.

Strikes two days earlier

The raid followed another operation on 28 June 2026, when Ukrainian forces launched FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles at strategic targets in Russia. They struck the Titan-Barrikady complex in Volgograd, which produces launchers for Russia's Yars and Iskander missile systems. Authorities said ten people were wounded in those strikes.

A separate missile strike on the same occasion destroyed a Pantsir missile system in occupied Crimea.

Taken together, the reports from 28 and 30 June 2026 show Ukrainian long-range strikes reaching targets in several Russian regions, while Russian officials reported civilian casualties.
